CPR Revives N.J. Firefighter at Scene

The Elmwood Park firefighter was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment.

An Elmwood Park firefighter was revived by colleagues at a house fire Thursday evening.

The unidentified firefighter was tended to immediately, and transported to Hackensack University Medical Center for surgery, Chief Michael Folingno told reporters.

The chief said the house fire did not appear to be suspicious. However, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office was called to investigate.

Residents of both homes lost all their possessions.
