Funeral Set for OH Firefighter Found Dead in Station

Funeral services for Austintown. OH Firefighter John Fritz will be held Saturday at Austintown Fitch High School.

Fritz, 48, was found dead in the Austintown fire station on June 27 after failing to respond to an emergency.

He is survived by his wife and five children.

Visitation will he held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 1 at the high school auditorium. Firefighters will march in for a special tribute at 7 p.m.

Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2 at the same location. There will be a visitation period for an hour prior.

Interment will be held at Tod Homestead Cemetery, Youngstown, OH.
