Three Dallas firefighters who were critically injured in a gas explosion last week remain hospitalized but have had their conditions upgraded.

The condition of three hospitalized Dallas firefighters who were seriously injured in a gas explosion last week has been upgraded.

Although the firefighters' families have chosen to withhold the names of their injured loved ones, Dallas Fire-Rescue sent out a release on Monday saying that the condition of all three members has gone from critical but stable to serious.

"All three continue to make progress with their respective injuries, and the department continues to provide support services to each member, and their families, as they navigate the road ahead," the release says.

Firefighters had responded to reports of a gas leak when the massive explosion tore through an apartment building last Wednesday morning and injured at least eight people, including four firefighters.
