Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service had to extricate a driver after they struck an engine operating at an accident scene.
Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service crews were working an accident scene on Interstate 495 Sunday morning when their engine was struck by a vehicle unrelated to the initial crash.
While crews from Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service worked an accident scene, a vehicle crashed into the rear of their engine company.
As a result of the crash, the driver was pinned in their vehicle and needed to be extricated by firefighters, according to a tweet by Pete Pringer MCFRS PIO.
Both accidents resulted in three individuals being transported to a local hospital for treatment.
