Police say a woman convicted in a DUI crash that killed a Harrisburg firefighter in 2017 has absconded her parole, meaning she is on the run.

Khanyae Sade Kendall pleaded guilty to homicide by vehicle and homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, for the March 10, 2017 crash that killed Harrisburg firefighter Denny DeVoe.

Kendall, who was pregnant at the time, was on PCP when she stole a car and drove through the intersection at 14th and Walnut streets, broadsiding DeVoe’s car, authorities said. DeVoe was on his way to what turned into a fatal house fire when his car was hit. Kendall left the scene.

Back in 2018, Kendall was ordered to spend 5-12 years in state prison for the killing, according to online court dockets.

Kendall was released from a state prison facility on March 10, and was ruled an “absconder” on Wednesday, according to the Department of Corrections online records.

Harrisburg police is looking for Kendall as a wanted parolee.
