Just before Christmas, tragedy hit a South Carolina community.
Rock Hill Firefighter/Paramedic David Campbell was killed in a wreck on his way to work on Dec. 23, WPDE reported.
Campbell had just accepted a position with Colleton County Fire-Rescue (CCFR) and was set to join the department on Jan. 23, according to WCBD.
“Although he was not officially a member of our department yet, he was part of our fire service family,” CCFR said on its Facebook page.
