Bullard's New Technical Rescue Helmet Certified to NFPA 1950
The Adaptix Rescue Helmet, a lightweight technical rescue helmet certified to NFPA 1950 (1951), 2025 Edition, was unveiled by Bullard. Adaptix Rescue is a technological rescue tool that combines side-impact protection, lightweight performance, and a flexible platform that may be used for a variety of rescue tasks.
"Technical rescue teams rely on equipment that can adapt to the demands of different rescue operations without compromising comfort or protection," said Carlos Torres, Bullard global product manager for fire helmets. "Adaptix Rescue was developed to provide a lightweight, configurable helmet platform that supports the way today's rescue teams operate."
Adaptix Rescue, which weighs only 17.3 ounces, has a balanced, low-profile design that maintains comfort and security throughout prolonged rescue operations. Adaptix offers both vented and nonvented configurations, so departments can choose the one that best suits their rescue efforts.
Users may quickly switch from a no-brim to a flexible full-brim configuration with the FlexBrim Removable Brim. The helmet can be configured for a variety of rescue missions thanks to compatible accessories such rotating eye protection, goggles, face visors, hearing protection, lights, neck shades and sunshades.
Adaptix Rescue's breathable mesh crown support, which generates adjustable airspace above the head to improve ventilation and stability, is designed to provide long-lasting comfort during prolonged rescue operations. The self-adjusting nape support of the flexible ratchet headband ensures a snug fit and the vented variant, which is an optional feature, helps improve airflow by diverting heat from the head.
Additionally, Adaptix Rescue has an easy-clean design with field-replaceable parts to make decontamination and maintenance easier. In addition to 10 shell colors and ten FlexBrimTM color possibilities, departments can further personalize helmets with long-lasting logo or symbol printing.
