Actor Matthew McConaughey stopped by Austin Fire Station 32 Friday to let them know his donation of N95 masks is on the way.
McConaughey and his wife, model Camila Alves, surprised the C-shift firefighters with the news that they will be the recipients of a donation of 80,000 masks that will go to firefighters, law enforcement and others in both Austin and New Orleans to battle the spread of COVID-19. McConaughey calls Austin home.
On duty when McConaughey stopped by, Lt. Alex Vanegas, Fire Specialist Joseph Hordyk, and firefighters Jesse Catron and Eric Johnson posed for a photo with the star.
"On behalf of the public safety and healthcare families, a HUGE thank you to the McConaugheys for their generous gift!" the Austin Fire Department posted on their Facebook page.
