Each year the Safety Health and Survival Section of the IAFC presents awards that recognize certain people and certain fire departments for doing good stuff.

This is a chance for you to submit information on firefighters and officers and/or departments to be recognized in four different categories - all related to firefighter safety, health and survival.

Do you know:

1- A fire chief that sets the example?

2- A Fire department that organizationally is focused on firefighter survival?

3- A person who has made a proven personal commitment/achievement to firefighter survival?

4- A department safety officer that sets the example?

The purpose of the IAFC Safety, Health and Survival Section Awards program is to recognize both organizations and individuals that have made a significant contribution to the overall environment of firefighter health and safety within their own organizations and within the fire service as a whole.

Take time now to nominate some good folks or departments that you know of-including your own, if that's the case-to give them proper recognition.
