A suspect has been arrested in connection with the hit-and-run accident involving a Texas firefighter
El Paso firefighter Armando Lopez was part of the response to a crash Feb. 12 when he was struck by another vehicle. The vehicle then left the scene, leaving Lopez seriously injured.

On Tuesday, El Paso police and the U.S. Marshals' fugitive task force apprehended the alleged driver, KTSM-TV reports. No details concerning the arrest or information about charges was released.
An update last week on a GoFundMe page set up for Lopez stated that he "remains in stable condition and continues to show improvements."
"Everyone's thoughts and prayers are much appreciated by the family," the update added. "The family expresses their sincerest gratitude to everyone."
So far, the GoFundMe campaign has raised more than $11,000, with a goal of $15,000.
