An overnight apartment building in Lanham left three people injured, including a firefighter.
Prince George's County firefighters were called to the three-story building just before 2 a.m.
A witness told WUSA9.com that citizens had to jump to escape the fire that was burning through the door into their apartment.
Fire officials said the fire grew to three alarms and crews had to use a defensive attack to bring the fire under control.
The fire displaced 60 residents.
