Metropolitan Police are investigating a crash between a DC Fire and EMS pumper and motorcycle that left the rider in serious condition.
The accident happened Saturday morning at E and 3rd Streets while the fire apparatus was responding to a reported fire.
The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and no firefighters were hurt, according to NBC Washington.
