MT Firefighter Struck While Directing Traffic

The Evergreen Fire Rescue firefighter was directing traffic at a crash scene when they were struck by a car.

A member of Evergreen Fire Rescue was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Saturday morning.

Crews were working an accident scene on MT Highway 35 bridge east of Kalispell around 8:30 when the incident happened.

A vehicle "entered our scene" and struck the firefighter, the department posted on Facebook.

The firefighter was taken to the hospital and later released, suffering minor injuries.
