Magnolia, TX, Fire Truck, SUV Collide; Five Hurt

The firefighters were returning from an incident when the crash occurred.

A crash involving a Magnolia fire truck and an SUV left four firefighters and a civilian injured.

The rig with four firefighters aboard was returning to the station after a call when the collision occurred.

The firefighter in the front seat was admitted overnight for observation while the others were released, according to KBTX

The civilian was transported and reportedly underwent surgery for her injuries. 

Following the impact, the fire truck hit the concrete base of the traffic signal pole, shattering the concrete base, and crushing the bottom of the pole. It continued into the ditch striking a highway illumination light. It rolled over hitting a Centerpoint utility pole shearing it off. 

The investigation is continuing.
