An Arlington firefighter was shot in the chest while conducting a welfare check at an apartment complex Friday morning.
The firefighter is currently in serious but stable condition at the Medical City Arlington hospital, WFAA reported.
"We are currently working with APD on putting together an official statement and will be releasing soon..." a spokesperson stated.
