Sutphen Corporation Celebrates Two Years in 185,000-square-foot Manufacturing Facility

Two years after the grand opening of its 185,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Urbana, Ohio, Sutphen Corporation is celebrating the anniversary of their largest expansion to date.
Officially opened in March of 2024, the manufacturing facility combined three separate Sutphen facilities into one, expanding Sutphen’s manufacturing capabilities from approximately 70,000 square feet across the three facilities to 185,000 square feet in one new facility.
The Urbana facility is home to Sutphen’s Monarch extreme-duty custom chassis line, Sutphen’s corporate service and technical center, Sutphen’s Ohio custom pumper line and Sutphen’s line of quick delivery pumpers.
“Over five years ago, Sutphen recognized the evolving need of our customers and the opportunity to expand the capabilities of our business,” said BJ Laney, vice president of operations at Sutphen Dublin and Urbana. “Our investment in Sutphen ensured that we could continue to provide the innovation, reliability and quality that our customers expect.”
In just two years, this facility has become a staple in the Urbana community while also creating new operational opportunities for Sutphen, bringing several teams together in one location. This integration of workflow has streamlined production processes and ensured consistent quality control.
