Live Grenade Dropped Off at FL Fire Department

A bomb squad from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office was called in after an individual discovered the explosive device in a garage and left it at a Dunedin Fire Department station.

A bomb squad was called in after a live grenade was dropped off at a Florida fire station Tuesday.

According to authorities, an individual cleaning out a garage discovered the explosive and brought it to the Dunedin Fire Department's Station 62 on Belcher Road, WTVT-TV reports. The street by the station was shut down while the device was investigated.

Eventually, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office's bomb squad secured the grenade and cleared it from the area. No injuries were reported in the incident, WTVT added.
