A pickup truck slammed into a New Jersey fire station after a fiery crash with another vehicle over the weekend.
The accident happened shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday along New York Road in Galloway Township, according to an online update by police. A Ford F-150 rear-ended a Chevrolet Bel Air, causing the car to catch fire.
The pickup truck kept moving, driving off the road and hitting a tree and multiple traffic signs. It eventually struck Galloway Township Fire Department's Bayview station before flipping over.
The collision caused "extensive damage" to the station, and the road was closed for two hours for clean up. The Bel Air's driver was taken to the hospital in stable condition, while the truck's driver suffered minor injuries and also was taken to the hospital.
The driver of the F-150 was charged with driving while intoxicated and assault by automobile, police said.
