Fox Crossing Fire Station 41 in Menasha came crashing down during a tornado Monday,

Several rigs were buried under sheets of metal, WBAY video showed.

Additional information about the apparatus destroyed was not available Tuesday.

The National Weather Service confirmed Tuesday that the EF-3 tornado was 1,500 yards wide and traveled 12.1 miles with 145 mph wind speeds.

An AI-generated photo showed extensive damage to the Pierce Manufacturing plant in Appleton. It was quickly labled as fake.

In response, Pierce authorities wrote that the business was impacted by the storm Monday.

"A power outage has temporarily interrupted operations at one manufacturing facility. Production team members have been redirected to other Pierce facilities until power is restored. Our aftermarket parts warehouse sustained roof damage; however, we expect no impact to parts availability and shipments will resume tomorrow. Pierce expects to return to full production operations tomorrow (July 28, 2026).

We appreciate the swift response and support of local emergency responders, utility crews, and the Oshkosh Corporation emergency response team as we work to safely return to normal operations."

The twister caused widespread damage in several communities destroying houses and businesses. The wind caused trees and power lines to fall leaving thousands without electricity.

Residents and officials are assessing the damage.
