Casco, ME, Fire and Rescue has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire notched tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner

Casco, ME, Fire and Rescue has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire notched tanker-pumper built on a Freightliner SD 108 chassis with a Cummins ISL-400, 400-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a 3,000-gallon APR polypropylene tank and a Hale MBP 750 gpm PTO pump. It's also equipped with Newton stainless steel 10-inch square dump valves with 36-inch telescoping chutes. It has a Zico electric portable tank carrier and a 3,000-gallon portable tank. It has an all-poly construction body with "sweep-out" style compartments, LED lighted folding steps and grab rails, Federal Signal rear view camera, six Whelen scene lights, a Kussmaul auto battery charge, and Federal Signal Q2B mechanical siren.
