The Missoula Airport has taken delivery of an Oshkosh Striker 4x4 ARFF truck.
The rig is powered with a 670-hp Scania DC16 V8 Tier 4F engine that accelerates 0-50 mph in under 25 seconds.
This Striker ARFF has a 1,500-gallon water tank, 210-gallon foam, and 550 pounds of dry chemical suppressant.
The vehicle has Oshkosh’s TAK4 independent suspension.
Additional features include a 50-foot Snozzle HRET on this striker ARFF, enabling fire penetration from both sides of the aircraft.
