The Clinton, Ma., Fire Department determined it needed a "city-style" pumper and tapped the local Ferrara dealer at Specialty Vehicles, Inc., to built it.

The Clinton, Ma., Fire Department determined it needed a "city-style" pumper and tapped the local Ferrara dealer at Specialty Vehicles, Inc., to built it. The pumper is compact with a wheelbase of 170 inches and an overall length of 28 feet, 7 inches. It has a Hale QMax 1,500-gpm pump, a low hosebed, a UPF L-shaped 500-gallon tank with ladders mounted on the right side of the apparatus. It was constructed on a Ferrara Igniter chassis with a heavy-duy extruded aluminum body.
