Concord, NC, Fire Dept. Gets 100-foot Rear-Mount Platform Aerial

The Concord, NC, Fire Department has purchased a 100-foot, rear-mount aerial platform from Pierce Mfg.

The Concord, NC, Fire Department has purchased a 100-foot, rear-mount aerial platform from Pierce Mfg. It is built on a Pierce Arrow XT cab and chassis, powered by a Cummins X-15 600-hp engine and an Allison transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous 1,500-gpm pump and a 300-gallon tank. Other features include a Harrison Hydra Gen 10,000-watt hydraulic generator. It also has Hi-Viz scene lights, Whelen warning lights, a Fire Research Corp. intercom system, a Kussmaul battery conditioner system and a Federal Signal mechanical siren.
