Nutley, NJ, Ladder Co. 1 has been assigned a 2018 Pierce Arrow XT 107-foot Ascendant aerial ladder. It has a Detroit Diesel 525-hp engine and Allison 4500EVSP transmission. The cab has seating for four and storage cabinets as well as a 10-inch raised cab roof and 227.50-inch wheel base.In addition, there are adjustable shelves, slide-out tool trays, swing-out tool board, transverse compartment with stokes basket storage, air bottle storage between tandem wheels, plus a torque box ladder storage. The 16-inch extended front bumper has fire extinguisher storage space on both the left and right sides of the cab. There is also a rear vision camera. The aerial ladder possesses LED rung lighting and there is LED turntable walkway and turntable console lighting. At the tip of the aerial is an electric TFT Typhoon model monitor.
