    Croft Fire District, Spartanburg, SC, has put a 107-foot Ascendant, heavy-duty aerial, built by Pierce Mfg., in service. The aerial is built on a Pierce Enforcer cab and chassis and powered by a Detroit Diesel DD13 525-hp engine and an Allison transmission. It is equipped with a 2,000-gpm Waterous pump, a 500-gallon water tank, a 15,000-watt Onan hydraulic generator and a Kussmaul battery conditioner system. It is also equipped with Whelen warning and scene lights, Akron electric cord reels and a Federal Signal Q2B siren.
