Units were dispatched for report of smoke in the building of National Transmission in Portage on May 14.
Ladder 1, whose firehouse is less then a mile away, pulled out and immediately saw a dark header of smoke. They called for a first and second alarm.
Heavy fire was showing through out the one-story building when Ladder 1 arrived.
Units set up three aerial master streams as well as two TFT Blitzfire master streams and multiple hand-lines to bring the fire under control.
A third alarm was then requested and a hzzmat personnel were then called to the scene for possible drainage problems of the materials that were in the car repair shop.
