Gilmer County, GA, Fire District Gets New Brush Truck

The Gilmer County Fire District, Elijay, GA, has taken delivery of a Midwest Fire flatbed brush truck built on a Ford F-550 crew cab chassis. It is powered by a 6.7L 4V OHV Power Stroke V8 diesel engine and a TorqShift 7-speed automatic transmission. It has a 300-gallon polypropylene tank, and a Darley 2BE 24K portable pump. Other features include a transverse compartment, over the wheels compartments, Whelen warning lights, four deck lights, a Federal Signal Q2B electric siren, a hose reel with 100-feet of 1-inch booster hose and a rear receiver tube.
