BME built this Targhee model Type 3 wildland unit for Boulder Fire-Rescue.
It is built on a International chassis that's powered by a Cummins L9 350-hp engine with 1,050 lb.-ft. of torque.
Fire suppression includes a Darley JMP 500 PTO, two-stage pump with a Darley 1.5 AGE 24K auxiliary pump and a 500-gallon water tank with a 20-gallon foam cell.
It has a 183-inch wheelbase and overall length of 335 inches.
The Targhee model is collaborative design between Cal Fire and BME to design a rig that's streamlined for what firefighters in the wildland environment, with a focus on comfort, pump layout enhancements and overall efficiency.
