Sugar Creek Twp., Ind., Take Delivery of a Showpiece Rescue

Marion Body Works has built a showpiece 22-foot custom rescue for the responders with the Sugar Creek Township Fire Department in New Palestine, Indiana. The apparatus was featured in the Marion booth at FDIC in Indianapolis this year.

The unit is built on a Spartan MetroStar cab and chassis with seating for six and a 10-inch raised roof, powered by a Cummins engine and an Allison transmission.

It has a RSP Space Saver cascade fill station and SCBA storage, a Holmatro power unit, Onan generator, Command Light 7,000-watt light tower and traffic flow board, storage for 14 air bags, a rear view camera, and custom cabinets.

It also has Whelen LED warning lights, portable winch connections on each side and on the rear, roof top storage compartment, rear body staircase with a hinged lower section, and a ladder compartment built into the staircase.

It was sold by Hoosier Fire Equipment with offices in Greenfield and Valparaiso, Ind.
