A would-be robber pulled a gun on Washington, D.C., firefighters early Wednesday and demanded tools before running off.

The incident happened at about 2:30 a.m., as D.C. Fire and EMS firefighters were responding to a water leak, WJLA-TV reports. As crews were handling the water leak, a man with a gun confronted a firefighter who remained at the apparatus and demanded tools.

The man then was unable to name the tools he wanted and would not take a chainsaw the firefighter suggested, according to WJLA. After about a minute, the man fled the scene without taking any gear.

No one was injured in the incident, and the firefighter called police and filed a report, WJLA added.
