EMMITSBURG, MD -- The U.S. Fire Administrator's Summit on Fire Prevention and Control will be held Sept. 15 at the National Fire Academy.
"Building the Next Generation of America's Fire and Emergency Services” is the focus of the session that fire and emergency personnel and leaders from across the country are expected to attend.
During the one-day conference, participants will hear a presentation on "250 Years of America's Fire and Emergency Services."
Discussions of various challenges facing responders, including budget issues and the increasing threats of wildfires, will be held.
A federal government shutdown and the possibilty of one led to the cancellations of two summits.
