Former Fire Chiefs Call for Sprinklers in Wake of Deadly Fires

Chiefs Ron Siarnicki and Shane Ray called for strong fire sprinkler laws in unprotected building following the deadly Bronx and Philadelphia fires. 

Ray, president of the National Fire Sprinkler Association and a former fire chief in Tennessee told 3CBSPhilly that the fires would have been contained quicker and less lives would have been lost should the code have required sprinklers.

Siarnicki, a former Prince George's County, MD, fire chief said heater safety regulations need to be addressed.
