While D.C. EMS personnel were treating a patient in their residence in Southeast Wednesday, someone took off in their ambulance.
The rig was found down the block and the person who climbed behind the wheel was taken into custody, WUSA9 reported.
The crew finished treating the patient and a private ambulance transported the person to the hospital.
The ambulance was not damaged.
