Engine 6

July 15, 2009
Engine 6 is a 2001 pumper-tanker built by E-One. It is one of 9 custom aluminum cab pumper-tankers that were purchased by Hood County for the county's 9 volunteer fire departments. It carries 2000 gallons of water and is equipped with a 1250gpm Hale pump. It seats 6 with room to spare and carries all ISO required ladder and engine company equipment, as well as an AED for unforeseen medical emergencies. E6 responds as both a 'county' engine and as a tanker when needed. It is housed at Station 2.
