ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --
Flames forced an Albuquerque family from their home early Friday morning.
The fire started around 5:30 a.m. on Madeira Drive near Candelaria Road and San Mateo Boulevard.
Smoke could be seen for miles, but there was more smoke than flames. Firefighters said the fire was contained to the back of the house.
The family and their two dogs got out safely.
There's no word what sparked the fire.
