INDIANAPOLIS --

Two firefighters and a child were injured when a blaze broke out at a home on Indianapolis' southwest side late Friday morning.

Decatur Township firefighters were called to a home in the 4500 block of South High School Road just before 11 a.m..

Chief Dale Henson said he thinks the fire began in the home's basement and spread to the back of the home.

One firefighter suffered a hand injury and the other suffered smoke inhalation. A child who lives at the home suffered minor injuries and was not hospitalized.

It took about 90 minutes for firefighters to bring the blaze under control. Henson said investigators aren't sure what caused the fire.
