Fire chiefs in Howard County, Md. and Prince George's County, Md. both announced they were stepping down today.
Howard County Maryland Fire Chief to Retire
Howard County Executive Ken Ulman announced today that Chief Joseph Herr will be retiring as head of the County Department of Fire and Rescue Services on March 1, 2009.
Prince George's County Maryland Chief Retires
"Chief Sedgwick brought innovation and new ideas to the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department. We appreciate his 27 years of service," said Vernon Herron, Public Safety Director.
