New NFFF Conference Set for Families of Bravest

Seminars will address financial issues, stages of grief and how to move on after losing a loved one.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation wants to insure a hand stays extended to survivors of the bravest who've made the ultimate sacrifice.

The first Fire Service Survivors' Conference is set for April 3-6 in Maryland, and NFFF Executive Director Ron Siarnicki is hoping families benefit.

"This is for families whose loved one has been recognized and honored at the national ceremony in Emmitsburg," he said. "Losing someone is extremely difficult. Lives are shattered..."
