More Than 20 Cats, Dogs Killed in South Carolina Fire

More than 20 cats and dogs are dead after they were trapped inside a burning mobile home in York County.

The woman who lived in the home on Boxwood Court near York ran an animal rescue group and kept 15 dogs and 30 cats inside.

She told firefighters she came home and discovered the fire Sunday afternoon.

At least 20 cats suffering from smoke inhalation were taken to a veterinarian.

Investigators said the fire appears accidental.
