ARLETA, Calif. --

Authorities are investigating a non-injury fire that was apparently sparked by a Molotov cocktail thrown at an Arleta church on Wednesday night. The fire caused slight damage to the church.

The fire outside Arleta Assembly of God Church in the 9700 block of Arleta Avenue near Terra Bella Street was reported at 10:50 p.m. and extinguished by 32 firefighters within 15 minutes, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman d'Lisa Davies said.

"There was a little bit of damage to the building, on the door under the eaves," Davies said. "The heat of the fire also busted a window."

Evidence of an incendiary device was found at the scene, a fire captain told an On Scene Video camera crew. A burned, broken bottle could be seen in front of the church's damaged door.
