Fire officials say two mistakes led to a fire that destroyed a Coconut Creek condo complex this week.
First, a resident of the building left a cigarette burning in a bedroom, starting the blaze.
Then, instead of calling 911 right away, she tried to put it out herself.
The building still had some damage to the roof and walls from Hurricane Wilma, which made the fire spread even faster.
No one was hurt in the blaze, but most residents lost all their belongings.
