August 22, 2005 -- A truck burst into flames on the Upper West Side yesterday, burning two people inside and injuring a third, officials said.
The truck was traveling south on Broadway near West 69th Street when the fire erupted shortly after 6 p.m.
One of the men inside was in critical condition at New York Hospital with burns over 50 percent of his body, authorities said. Another had burns over 20 percent of his body. The third was treated for smoke inhalation.
