LAKEWOOD, Colo. --
West Metro Fire needs your help to find a set of running boards.
They were stolen from a 1956 Seagrave Pumper Fire Engine that's being restored.
The running boards and rear steps were at a retailer in Arvada to be powder coated when they disappeared.
West Metro thinks someone may have stolen them to sell the scrap metal. Replacing the boards would cost about $4,000.
Firefighters are restoring the antique engine to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of West Metro Firefighters Local 1309.
West Metro Fire Rescue Firefighters Local 1309 is offering a reward for their safe return and no questions will be asked. They can be dropped off at any West Metro Fire Station or the administration building at 433 South Allison Parkway in Lakewood.
