Firefighters are investigating a house fire that claimed the life of a man on Thanksgiving day.
It happened Thursday evening at a home in the 4400 block of Genesee Avenue in Dayton.
The exact cause of the fire is still being investigated but fire officials said it may be an electrical problem that caused the fire.
Investigators said they believe a man that lived there may have gone back into the burning home to rescue a pet.
He died at the scene.
His name is not yet being released.
