WHITE MARSH, Md. (AP) -- A fire that damaged 24 apartments was arson, Baltimore County investigators announced Monday.
The three-alarm fire was reported about 5:20 p.m. Sunday at Quail Ridge Apartments. About 50 people were left temporarily homeless, but no one was hurt.
``Fire investigators determined that the fire was intentionally set and learned that two trash Dumpsters were also set on fire earlier the same day,'' county police said in a news release. ``Detectives are attempting to identify the suspects involved in the arson and the earlier fires.''
Fire went through the roof of one three-story building, and the blaze resulted in smoke, water and heat damage to an adjoining building.
Damage was estimated at $900,000.
