Firefighter Harold Dean Chappell suffered an apparent heart attack and died the morning after completing a call to a motor vehicle crash on July 11, 2004 at 6:12 p.m, according to USFA-FEMA.

Chappell was a volunteer with Arlington Fire and Rescue, Inc. in Jonesville, North Carolina.

Visitation services for Chappell will be held at the Gentry Family Funeral Home today, July 14 from 6-9 p.m. at 4517 Little Mountain Road in Jonesville, NC.

Funeral services will be held at the Swaims Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 15. It is located at Swaims Baptist Church Rd. in Haptonsville, NC.

Donations for the Memorial Fund can be made to Yadkin County Fire/Rescue Assoc, Inc. in honor of Firefighter Harold Dean Chappell, P.O. Box 804, Yadkinville, NC 27055
