Maryland Community Plans To Build EMS Station 18 Years Ago, Construction May Soon Begin

The Bowie City Council Monday night endorsed a site plan for a new EMS station on Mitchellville Road, further moving ahead a plan that has been on the books for 18 years but now is finally close to becoming a reality.

The station, to be located on a now-empty plot of land across from the entrance to Elder Oaks Boulevard, would reduce as much as 50 percent of strain on the two current area stations and would add one new emergency vehicle for the city
