SALEM - The North Bend Hose Company in Salem had been working on their 100th anniversary celebration since last September. They invited fire companies from all over the area to join them for a parade and celebration event. When the day came they had a couple of uninvited guests, Bonnie and Charlie. The remnants of the two storms brought cloudy skies and at times heavy rains.
In spite of the rain, North Bend Captain Will Cummings said over 60 pieces of equipment were included in the parade and hundreds of friends and family members came to share memories and a barbeque meal.
