Kentucky Fire Officials Continue To Investigate Blaze At Firing Range

Fire investigators are back on the scene of a fire at the Bluegrass Indoor Shooting Range on Enterprise Drive. Ammunition inside the building made fighting the fire especially tough.

The fire, which broke out Tuesday afternoon took several hours to extinguish. Wednesday, firefighters returned to control hot spots. As of noon, firefighters had not yet ventured into the burned building, because of those hot spots.

Another concern is runoff from the fire... which leaked into a nearby retention basin. Kentucky's Department of Emergency Management says the basin is linked to a small pond on the back of Calumet's Farm.

The owner of the range was also on the site Wednesday accessing the damage.
