Indianapolis Restaurant Erupts In Flames; Fireworks Store Nearby

Fire crews were up early Saturday morning to put out a blaze in a Castleton area strip mall.

The fire broke out inside the LePeep Restaurant at 8255 Craig Street just off 82nd street just before 5:00 AM.

The restaurant is located in the metroplex strip mall along with six other businesses.

Investigators say LePeep's hadn't opened for business yet when smoke could be seen coming from the building. Firefighters from the Lawrence Township Fire Department were concerned the fire might spread to the fireworks store at the end of the strip mall.

Most of the damage inside was from smoke and water. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
